Dazzle Studios is owned and managed by John Coles, whose experience spans more than 35 years. His first studio was in the heart of West End theatre land, in Covent Garden, London. Some of his portraits of famous artists and musicians are in the archive collection of the National Portrait Gallery.
For many years, John ran a renowned specialist service throughout the UK, providing very high quality imaging for artists, galleries, magazine and book publishers throughout the country. His work has been very widely published.
The Dazzle Studios skill-set includes excellent knowledge of Devon and Cornwall, print and radio journalism, and accredited business advisory skills. These skills are of particular relevance in our commercial photography and PR work for businesses in the South West.
Associate photographer Jayne Butland has worked with Dazzle Studios for the past three years. Hugely popular with brides and families, her passion is for underwater photography, and she has worked with the 'Blue Planet' team.

The studio is equipped with digital Nikon cameras, and film formats from 35mm to 5x4 large format. We have one of the widest infinity backgrounds in the region, and a comprehensive three-rail Bowen's Hi-Glide lighting system as well as fully portable battery and mains powered professional lighting for location use.
The studio has a small changing room, and large reception / meeting room and is part of a complex housing adjacent video production facilities with blue (green) room, editing suite, and large projection screen.
